Who Are We? | Committee Series | Amber Daugs
Here at the Clipper City Co-op we strive to be open and welcoming. The "Who Are We? Committee Series" shares information about each of the Committee Members.
I am a self-described urban farming diva and trailblazer in the local food movement. As co-founder of Grow It Forward Inc., I am a dedicated business administrator, program director, project manager, and social advocate.
My professional and educational experience includes budgeting, profit and loss statements, fundraising, volunteer coordination, general accounting, finance, and social advocacy.
I am also a current attendee of Victory Garden Initiative's 2014-2015 Food Leader Certification Program and Growing Power's 2015 Community Urban Agriculture Program. Both programs provide extensive training and certification in business operation, operations management, community urban gardening/farming development, and food production.
My passion for local food options also carries forward to my participation on the Steering Committee for Clipper City Co-op. Additionally, I am developing my own urban agriculture business around microgreens.
My hobbies and interests include: life-long learning, sustainability and the local food movement, art, music, civic involvement, growing delicious produce, canning, preserving, fermenting, cooking at home, and baking.
